Raised in Sandy, Utah, Dr. Bateman completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah in the Behavioral Science and Health Department. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2006. He served internships in multiple county health clinics in and around St. Louis, the St. Louis Veterans Administration Hospital, the University Eye Center, and the Eye Foundation of Utah. Dr. Bateman is experienced in cataract and refractive surgery pre/post operative care, glaucoma management, pediatrics, contact lenses, and ocular disease. He is a member of the Utah Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. Dr. Bateman joined Wasatch Vision Clinic in 2006 and has since become the owner of both Wasatch Vision and Farmington Vision Clinic.
Dr. Bateman lives in Herriman with his wife and children. Dr. Bateman enjoys traveling the world providing free eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need. If you have any eyeglasses that are no longer being used please bring them in and Dr. Bateman will use them at his next international clinic. |
Dr. Nelson was born and raised in Mantua, Utah. He received his Bachelor degree in Biology from Utah State University in Logan and his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2013. After practicing in Walla Walla, Washington for four years he moved back to Utah to be closer to family. Dr. Nelson is a member of the Utah Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and is Board Certified.
Dr. Nelson has experience in primary care, refractive surgery, pre/post operative care, contact lenses, dry eye treatment, and ocular disease. He joined Farmington Vision Clinic in 2019. He enjoys working with children of all ages, and helping patients of any age better understand options to keep their eyes healthy and their vision clear. He has been on two international service trips to provide care and eyeglasses for those in need. He enjoys traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading books, woodworking, and learning new skills. |
